Singapore Weddings - Jeanette's Actual Day

When it comes to meeting people, I always believe in fate.
As a full-time makeup artist in Singapore since 2018, I have been blessed with lovely clients that are so supportive and encouraging. Many of them have become personal friends of mine even after their weddings and I am very thankful for that.

Each bride that I met thus far has been so genuine and sweet.
At the same time, each of them and their wedding is so unique and special on their own.
So, thanks to COVID-19, I am glad that I finally have the chance and time to write about each of them on my blog.

And here I am, starting with the very first post on one of my 2019 brides — Jeanette.

Jeanette contacted me just 3 months before her wedding, which kind of hinted how chill and carefree she was as a bride-to-be. 😂

She kept her wedding day rather simple too as she wanted to enjoy the day fully with her loved ones. At the same time, with minimal stress and planning as she was also having some exams during the same period.

Here’s the flow of the wedding day:
7am: Makeup starts with me
9am: Veiling by parents
930am: Groom fetch her, first look + letter exchange
(she wanted to surprise her groom with a cute dino outfit, sadly, she couldn’t proceed with that due to family’s objections. :/)
1030am: Church Ceremony
1pm: Outdoor shoot with bridal party @ Hort Park
3pm: Check-in to Hotel for 2nd look with me
6pm: Dinner celebration with closed friends & family at
Vineyard @ Hort Park

-Happily ever after since then-

And, here are some photos to recap that day
(Thank You Jeanette for sharing with me!)

Ending off this post with some lovely words from Jeanette on her bridal hair and makeup service experience with me:

Madeline’s professionalism was evident in each stage of the process, from the makeup trial where she did various looks and hairstyles, the week before the wedding and the AD itself. She has a spirit of excellence and was early for both timings on my AD, and had many touches here and there that brightened up the whole process (e.g., sending me an infographic to wear masks and sleep, which I didn’t :D, 2 weeks before, giving me a touch up kit the day itself, continually checking to ensure my comfort etc). She was very professional in advising me what would or would not work (e.g., I wanted a messier hairdo for the morning ceremony but she advised that it would not last with the weather conditions, and we switched to something else).

Makeup lasted an entire day after the trial, and importantly, lasted the entire AD too. Overall, it felt very safe to entrust the role to her. The process also was very enjoyable – given that you’re going to be with your MUA for a good 2h-2.5h for each session, would be good to find someone you are comfortable with. Her makeup and repertoire of hair skills (she can do a wide variety of hairstyles) are impressive.”

Thank you, Jeanette for the lovely words which warms my heart. :)
I’m also glad to meet and know the following lovely vendors through Jeanette:
