COVID-19 will change weddings // but positivity goes on
Covid-19, a pandemic that affects everyone and even more for freelancers/self-employed.
It challenges the wedding industry in a way that I will never expected it to be.
Who would have expected that ROM will close and couples will not be able to get married?
In gist, weddings can never happen during these 2 months (April and May 2020).
It is tough and I believe it will continue to be challenging for the wedding industry.
Things will never be the same anymore.
But, if there is one beautiful thing out of all these stress and upsetting Covid-19 matters, it will be how it has somehow brought us, humans, closer together, how we are all one and how it amplify the kindness one has for another.
I am grateful, so thankful to my understanding clients who texted encouragement saying how they understood it is a tough period for all of us when it is also a difficult time for them too. During such trying times, it means even more to receive small encouragement and support messages from them.
I would like to share some of them here and remind myself that they are the reasons why I should not give up no matter how difficult things became.
I also hope that such positivity passes on.
In addition I’m also touched to see wedding creatives coming closer together even though we are competitors in the industry somewhat, yet we choose to help one another, simply because we are in this together and we want to tide through this together.
Thank you to every single one that sent some encouragement and love.
Covid-19 will change weddings, but i’m sure that we will all adapt and emerge stronger.
